I may deeply apologetic about being on hiatus for such a long time, after a period of crazy catching and searching a new meaning for my new-found hobby. The economy haven't been kind to all, and despite not being hit by the economic downturn directly, it sent me thinking and re-thinking about my wastefully extravagant ways.
I used to define myself as someone who catches for my own collection, and of course to satisfy my particular desire, but as it seems, I end up selling away my own collections due to space constraints and I have to be more selective. For me, even though cash is not of great essence as of now, it is a hassle trying so hard to catch something and then sell it at a price below-cost.
But this period of bad econmonic prospects might have brought healthy business to the UFO-catching business. From my observation, there is more people willing to fork out a few bucks to try out on the machines. As usual, Singaporeans love to gamble. And during times of bad, they eat cheaper, spend less, be thrifty, but gamble more and are willing to spend on "opportunities". My own definition of this in singlish - "KIOSAI". and you will be surprised at how badly people want those toys with their pathetic 1 or 2 gold coins. I get totally disgusted, but bad times bring out the worst of people, which will continue to prevail until who knows when?

X-SCOOP CHALLENGE 2008

FYI, in the qualifying rounds, you will pay for your own credits and be given 10minutes to catch the toy. You will be timed for the amount of time, NOT number of credits, taken to catch the toy. If you are the top 4 contestants from the outlet, you will be given a chance to play in the Grand Finals. It will be a nett $10, and the Grand Finals will be held at Downtown E-Hub on 20/12/2008.
I was told by one of the staff, that no toys arrangement will be allowed, and you can only rely on your own skills to catch the toy. So, what are you waiting for?! Hope to see most of you in the Grand Finals, but for now, I'm keeping my identity a secret to save myself some embarrassment if I don't get to the Grand Finals. Haha!

Hi people, I have decided to set up a blog to share some of my experience on ufo catching, to talk about the ups and downs as an UFO addict and also the fun, laughter, but sometimes frustration and anger about my fatal addiction.
Perhaps, many would think that I'm not in a good position to talk about this, and I admit about being new and fresh in this hobby, but I do believe in sharing some of experiences and thoughts that I have, and hopefully hear what my fellow friends from the blogshopshere have to offer.
First and for all, I admit that the idea of having a blogshop to sell off my catches did not come rightfully out of my own mind. For me, it was the case of someone walking up to me and offering her number and blogshop address, and *tadah* here I am. Haha, I seriously do not know whether I should thank her or not;
1. The ability to sell off some of the catches allows me to free up some cash for my addiction
BUT
2. It also lead to me sinking deeper to my addiction, 'cause I know I have my backside covered.
To make this blog more intriguing, please share your experience on UFO catching! Let me know what was the first thing that attracted you to UFO Catching! What was the first toy you got from a UFO machine, and how much did it cost? Send me photos of it @ disneyplushouse@gmail.com and a brief description and I promise to do a proper writeup with reference to your blog address! :) and do participate in the poll beside!
